Blood Bank of Delamarva is a non-profit organization and provides blood & blood products to 16 hospitals in the state of Delaware, Cecil County, Maryland and the Eastern Shore of maryland. Annually, the blood bank collects over 77,300 units of whole blood and platelets, and distributes over 106,000 blood products to these hospitals.
Ken Hall, Director of Information Technology and Mike Healy, Director of Technology, Research & Analysis, will present an overview of developments at BBD, specifically as they relate to technology used by IT and the laboratory. You will learn about technology innovations at the Blood Bank as well as have the opportunity for a behind the scenes tour of its donor room and laboratories.
